Hours: Full Time, Monday- Thursday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Location: Great Neck, NY

Compensation: $60,000 to $62,000

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about financial accuracy? As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in managing the financial health of our company. You'll be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time. What you will be doing:

• Receive and verify expense reports; reconcile expenses with account balances.
• Accurately record accounts payable data and maintain financial documentation.
• Process vendor payments, verify federal ID numbers, review purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify discount opportunities and ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment.
• Reconcile accounts payable ledger to ensure all bills and payments are properly recorded.
• Manage petty cash transactions and verify documentation.
• Calculate and report sales tax based on paid invoices.
• Ensure compliance with accounts payable regulations, including W-9 and sales tax.
• Support general accounting tasks and assist with audits as needed.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting.
  Certification: Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an Accounts Payable Specialist.
• Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new accounting software.
• Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidential records.
